Tony Petrello and His Wife Are Vowed To Take Neurological Research to the Next Level

In corporate circles, Tony Petrello is known as the CEO and President of the celebrated Nabors Industries, the world’s biggest natural gas drilling company globally. Tony has served in this position since 1991 and has steered the company to greater heights since then. Tony Petrello is responsible for the growth and performance profiles that Nabors Industries has been associated with in the recent past.

While Tony Petrello has been recognized for his remarkable management efforts at Nabors Industries, he continues to receive even more recognition for his relentless involvement in philanthropic activities. Well, it is often said that everything is big in Texas, and this is not far from the truth considering Tony’s dedication and commitment to improving his community welfare.

Tony and his wife, Cynthia, recently surprised everyone when they announced a whooping $5 million donation to Texas Children Hospital’s Neurological Research Institute. They also promised to give an additional two million dollars to the research institute in the coming years. The donation will go a long way in giving children an opportunity to receive treatment from some of the top doctors globally in their fight against various neurological disorders.

This particular philanthropic cause is very personal to the Petrellos. They too have an 8-years old daughter, Carena, who is suffering from PVL (or periventricular leukomalacia). The condition has even caused her to develop cerebral palsy. Carena developed PVL as result of inadequate blood floor to her brain during her early years. As a result, Carena has to learn some of the basic body functions that most children pick naturally during their growth and development stages.

Like other parents, Petrellos have done everything in their abilities to not only find the best care for their daughter but also to work and support her developmental disabilities all through her life. This has exposed Petrellos to some of the things that sick children go through, and they have vowed to use their talents, resources, and time to do whatever is humanly possible to fight neurological disorders in children.
